Elite Turf LLC was founded in 2022 with the goal of bringing golf course quality turf management practices to residential and commercial properties in the Litchfield County area. Our owners have spent the last ten years working on the agronomy teams at many of the best golf courses in the country including: Shinnecock Hills Golf Club (2018 US Open Championship), National Golf Links of America, TPC River Highlands (Travelers Championship), Victory Ranch Golf Club, and The Country Club of Waterbury. Utilizing our agronomic knowledge gained through Horticultural and Turfgrass Science degrees — coupled with our vast experience growing and maintaining high-quality playing surfaces we provide services in line with the best management practices seen at golf courses throughout the country.

At Elite Turf LLC our focus is simple: We use scientifically proven methods of fertilization and pest control to keep your soil nutrient levels in balance, your property free of competing weeds, and control damaging insects that feed on turf. We do this by sampling the soil on your specific property and getting laboratory results of your soil’s characteristics. From here, we create a customized fertilization and pest control program utilizing high quality products trusted by turfgrass scientists and researchers across the country.   • Every lawn has unique characteristics – but we have a fertilization program for you. By testing your soil, we come up with a personalized program to meet your turf’s fertility requirements and correct any deficiencies that may be creating issues with your lawn. Included with our fertilization program comes season long weed and insect control to keep your lawn clean and healthy.

  • From seed or from sod, Elite Turf LLC can help you create the lawn of your dreams starting with bare soil. We offer many options for lawn installations tailored to best fit your needs and price point.

  • Full property protection from Ticks, Fleas, Ants, and other insect pests. We offer conventional and organic pest control programs to protect you, your family, and your pets from disease carrying ticks and insects.

  • The key to a great lawn is having a thick and healthy stand of desirable turfgrass. While we can’t control the weather – we can certainly control the type of grass we have in our lawns. Overseeding with a drought resistant variety can help withstand hot summers and fill in any thins areas your lawn may have.

  • The practice of aeration opens channels in the soil to stimulate the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide and improve rooting in turf. It also relieves compaction from everyday traffic on your lawn and helps improve drainage throughout the soil profile.

  • Need to excavate for a new project? In need of drainage on your property? Elite Turf LLC is happy to offer excavation services for your next project. Don’t worry about lawn repair after your project – we’ve got you covered!

  • Removal of any unwanted or damaged trees and cleaning out of overgrown or unsightly areas.

  • Planting beds with ornamental flowering plants and shrubs have different challenges and predators than your lawn. Ask about our ornamental plant treatment programs to keep your ornamentals protected.

  • Have an irrigation system for your lawn or planting beds? We are happy to audit, service, and repair any issues you may have with your irrigation system. We also offer irrigation blow outs to keep your system safe over winter.

  • From new lawn installations to partial lawn repairs, hydroseeding is a great way to seed a new area of your lawn. Using a slurry of seed, mulch, erosion control products, and moisture managers, hydroseeding is a great solution for steeper slopes, hills, or newly placed soil.

  • Mulch, topsoil, stone, firewood – if it fits, we can deliver it. Ask about our delivery and installation services for any product you need brought to your home. We can remove unwanted materials as well.

    Bob graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor of science in Sustainable Plant and Soil Systems with a focus on Turfgrass Management. He has spent 10 years working as an agronomist on many of the best golf courses in the country. Bob grew up in Watertown, CT and after traveling around much of the North East, New York, and Utah he now lives in Woodbury, CT. Bob’s passion is providing the highest quality turf services while promoting environmental stewardship.

  • Adam Bonito

    APPLICATION SPECIALIST

    Adam has been local to the Woodbury area for over 15 years. He grew up in the landscaping and agriculture industry and worked many years for local farms. Adam has over 25 years of mechanical experience and most recently worked 4 years in the golf course management industry. Adam is the head of excavation services and his experience maintaining and fine-tuning precise equipment for lawn applications is vital for Elite Turf LLC’s services.
